SDG Alignment

TSDI’s work aligns with more than ten of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Climate Action (SDG 13), Clean Water & Sanitation (SDG 6), and Responsible Consumption (SDG 12).

We are committed to making measurable contributions toward achieving these goals through grassroots projects, policy advocacy, and community engagement.

TSDI works in alignment with the following SDGs to achieve its focus:

  • TSDI defends inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities / improving learning outcomes (SDG 4: Quality Education)
  • TSDI favors gender equality and empower all women and girls – eliminating discrimination, violence, and harmful practices while promoting women’s leadership and participation (SDG 5: Gender Equality)
  • TSDI advocates for sustainable management of water resources / water conservation, access to clean and safe water and improved sanitation for all (SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation)
  • TSDI encourages renewable energy projects / sustainable energy solutions – easy access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for many while focusing mainly on improving energy efficiency (SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy)
  • TSDI makes efforts to create environmentally friendly, resilient, and sustainable urban and rural areas by inspire sustainable urbanization, reducing slum populations, and improving transport and proper waste management (SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities)
  • TSDI stands up for waste reduction, recycling, and promoting sustainable consumption patterns (SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production)
  • TSDI endorses all actions related to mitigating climate change impacts, reforestation, improving resilience to climate-related disasters and promoting sustainable practices to reduce carbon footprints (SDG 13: Climate Action)
  • TSDI also focuses on aquatic conservation by protecting marine ecosystems by reducing coastal/marine pollution, protecting ecosystems, and promoting sustainable fishing (SDG 14: Life Below Water)
  • TSDI champions activities like afforestation, combating desertification, protecting biodiversity, and land conservation (SDG 15: Life on Land)
  • TSDI is engaged in both local and international collaboration, financial resources, and technology sharing (SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals)
